Hallmarking Now a Must for Gold Jewellers
The Centre will make hallmarking of gold jewellery and artefacts mandatory from Wednesday by issuing a formal notification, but it will give one year’s time to jewellers and retailers to register themselves with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and clear their old stock.

सोने के साथ ही चांदी के भाव में भी शुक्रवार को गिरावट दर्ज की गई है। चांदी में शुक्रवार को 200 रुपये की गिरावट आई है। इस गिरावट से चांदी का भाव 47,695 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम पर आ गया है। गौरतलब है कि चांदी गुरुवार को 47,895 रुपये प्रति किलोग्राम के भाव पर बंद हुई थी। औद्योगिक इकाइयों और सिक्का कारोबारियों की लिवाली में कमी के चलते चांदी के भाव में यह गिरावट आई है।
