अमेरिका की दिग्गज फार्मास्युटिकल कंपनी फाइजर (Pfizer) और जर्मनी की बायोटेक कंपनी बायोएनटेक (BioNTech) ने दावा किया है कि उनकी बनाई गई वैक्सीन कोरोना वायरस के इलाज में 90 फीसदी से अधिक असरदार है। कंपनियों का कहना है कि उनकी कोरोना वैक्सीन उन लोगों पर असरदार साबित हुई है जिनमें कोरोना के लक्षण पहले से दिखाई नहीं दे रहे थे। Pfizer के अधिकारियों ने 2020 में ही कोरोनो वायरस वैक्सीन तैयार करके देने की आशा व्यक्त की थी।
