त्योहारों से पहले गोल्ड हॉलमार्किंग का मामला फिर उठने लगा है। ये मामले लंबे समय से ठंडे बस्ते में पड़ा है लेकिन अब सरकार हॉलमार्किंग को जल्द जरूरी बनाना चाहती है। इसके लिए उपभोक्ता और वाणिज्य मंत्रालय में बातचीत चल रही है। ये तो तय है कि हॉलमार्किंग से बुलियन मार्केट पर लोगों का भरोसा बढ़ेगा, लेकिन क्या इससे डिमांड में कोई सुधार आएगा और पूरे ज्वेलरी मार्केट में हॉलमार्किंग का कैसा असर पड़ेगा इसी पर आज रहेगा फोकस। बता दें कि 14, 18 और 22 कैरेट सोने की हॉलमार्किंग होगी। इसके साथ ही 2 ग्राम से ज्यादा वजनी ज्वेलरी की हॉलमार्किंग जरूरी होगी।

अगस्त महीने में खुदरा मुद्रास्फीति मामूली बढ़कर 10 महीने के उच्चतम स्तर 3.21 फीसदी पर पहुंच गयी. खाने-पीने की चीजें महंगी होने से अगस्त में खुदरा मुद्रास्फीति बढ़ने और औद्योगिक उत्पादन की वृद्धि दर सुस्त पड़ने से भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक पर नीतिगत ब्याज दर रेपो रेट में कटौती करने का दबाव एक बार फिर बढ़ गया है. विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि इस स्थिति में रिजर्व बैंक की मौद्रिक नीति समिति अगली समीक्षा बैठक में रेपो दर में 0.15 से 0.25 फीसदी की और कटौती कर सकती है
