At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December rose by Rs 115, or 0.30 per cent, to Rs 37,981 per kg in business turnover of 86 lots.
Gold Silver Reports (GSR) – Bullion could average $1,350 an ounce in 2019 as corporate tax reforms worsen the U.S. fiscal balance, Francisco Blanch, head of global commodities and derivatives research, said in a phone interview last week. Spot gold traded at $1,196.23 on Monday and has averaged about $1,285 this year.
In Delhi, gold rates of 99.9% and 99.5% purity rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 31,660 and Rs 31,510 per 10 gram, respectively. Sovereign, however, remained flat at Rs 24,500 per piece of eight gram.
Meanwhile, physical gold buying waned in major Asian centres last week as bullion prices rebounded from recent lows, with dealers in India offering the metal at a discount for the first time in over a month as an uptick in local rates moderated demand.
In line with gold, silver prices also rose by Rs 200 to Rs 37,800 per kg on increased offtake by industrial units and coin makers, the report added. Silver coins remained unchanged at Rs 72,000 for buying and Rs 73,000 for selling of 100 pieces.

Gold prices rebounded by ₹ 170 to ₹ 30,420 per 10 grams today amid fresh demand from local jewellers and positive global sentiment , reported PTI. In global markets, gold rates inched up as demand for the yellow metal rose after prices slumped to a 19-month low last week, while a rising dollar weighed on the market ahead of planned US-China trade talks. In Delhi, gold prices of 99.9% and 99.5% purity rose by ₹ 170 each to ₹ 30,420 and ₹ 30,270 per 10 grams, respectively.
Spot gold was down 0.2% at $1,172.48 an ounce as of 0426 GMT, after earlier falling as much as 1.2% to $1,159.96, its lowest since January 2017. US gold futures were down 0.5% at $1,179.5 an ounce.
