Gold Silver Reports — The Indian rupee eased in early trades on Wednesday, 22 March 2017 amid gains in the US currency in global markets. Dollar strengthened against major global currencies hitting the rupee sentiment. Early losses in stock markets and demand for the US currency from importers also weighed on the rupee.

Gold Silver Reports — US officials have indicated that there is likely to be possible stagnation in Indonesias palm oil exports, with importers seeing better value in rival vegetable oils. The US Department of Agricultures Indonesia bureau, in its first forecasts for palm oil output in the worlds top producing country in 2017-18, pegged it at a record 36.5m tonnes, a rise of 2.5m tonnes year on year.

CHINA TO REMAIN NET IMPORTER OF OILSEEDS IN MY 2016/17

Gold Silver Reports — China continues to be the largest oilseed importer in the world.In MY15/16, Chinas total oilseed imports reached 87.93 million tons (MMT). Chinese total soybean imports hit another record at 83.23 MMT, absorbing 61 percent of total world exports, and 59 percent of total U.S. soybean exports. United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) estimates this growing trend in soybean imports will continue and reach 86 MMT in MY16/17, and 89 MMT in MY17/18.

Gold Silver Reports – Copper has hit a one-week low as talks to resolve a strike at the worlds biggest copper mine in Chile were set to resume and production at another huge mine in Indonesia restarted. Perus copper production rose 24.8 per cent in January from the same month a year earlier while zinc output increased 11.3 per cent.

Gold Silver Reports — Bargain buying was seen in jeera market on the account of recovery in exports demand along with seasonal demand by processors companies. The sources stated that most of the exporters have witnessed strong buying at lower levels. However, as per market sources, the total jeera production in the current year are projected at 54000 tonnes against 42000 tonnes reported last year.
